Your puppy will be given its first DHLPP shot at approximately 6-7 weeks of age. Your puppy will also be wormed at least four times before leaving our home. Your puppy was raised in a clean environment, with our kennels being cleaned daily. We offer a six-month health guarantee with your puppy, provided that you abide by the terms of the puppy sales agreement. Your puppy also will receive a bath prior to you picking it up, as well as a Puppy Starter Kit. We give our adult dogs a yearly DHLPP booster, and they receive a yearly rabies shot and kennel cough vaccine from our local veterinarian.
We also have all of our adult dogs undergo an OFA hip x-ray once they reach the appropriate age. This is an x-ray that is taken to determine whether our adult dogs and any of their offspring will have problems with hip dysplasia. Feeding
We feed Purina brand dog and puppy foods. You will receive a sample of puppy food in your Puppy Starter Kit. We feed our adult dogs Purina Pro Plan and/or Purina One. These are high quality, high-protein dog foods that our Siberians do well with. We also supplement their diets with fresh venison in season, and our dogs get a weekly treat of canned sardines in oil. Yes, sardines! Think about it---these dogs were imported from Russia and raised by the Inuits (Eskimos) on a diet of mostly fish and caribou. So, treats of sardines and venison make perfect sense, and provide an excellent source of protein for the dogs. They love these treats!
